One thing to note is that with the Freedrum Electronic Drumsticks, you only need to connect to one Bluetooth device, which is different from the original Freedrum that required connecting to four separate devices.
The right pedal sensor will blink blue to indicate that it is searching for a connection. Once a connection is established, it will turn green.
What are latency issues and how do I solve these?
Latency issues refer to a delay or lag between the time you hit a drum and the sound of the drum being produced in the app or software you're using. This can be frustrating and impact the quality of your playing experience.
To solve latency issues, there are a few things you can try:
- Use a wired connection for your headphones instead of Bluetooth.
- Reduce the distance between your device and the Freedrum sensors.
- Make sure your device is fully charged and running smoothly.
- Close other apps or programs running in the background to reduce demand on your device's processing power.
- Reduce the latency setting in your app or software, if available.
How do I calibrate the Freedrum Electronic Drumsticks?
When you start playing Freedrum, it's important to calibrate your drumsticks. This helps make sure your drum kit is set up in the right position. Here's how to calibrate your drumsticks:
- Point both drumsticks directly in front of you.
- Press both buttons at the same time.
- If the calibration was successful, the right drumstick will light up blue, and the left drumstick will light up red.
- If they don't light up blue and red, simply repeat the process.
That's it! After you calibrate your drumsticks, you're ready to start playing Freedrum.
How do I correctly attach the pedal sensors to my knees?
First, attach the circular pedal sensors to your legs, positioning them just above your knees. Make sure the (L) icon is on your left leg and the (R) icon is on your right leg. The icons should be on the insides of your legs so you can read them easily. It's important to note that the pedals should be facing upwards.
Can I play double kick with Freedrum Electronic Drumsticks?
With the double kick feature, you can switch between the kick and hi-hat sounds simply by pressing the pedal sensor button twice. This feature allows you to create complex drum beats and add more variety to your drumming.
How do I re-buddy a kit when the devices are not connecting?
To reset the connections between all the devices, follow these steps:
- Press the button on the device four times quickly, then press and hold down the button. If you do this correctly, the device will blink magenta instead of blue when turning off.
- Repeat this step for all devices to erase their buddy information.
- To complete the reset, turn the devices back on in this order: right pedal, left pedal, then sticks. Wait for each one to turn yellow. Once the right pedal stops blinking magenta, the devices are all connected and should turn green.

To check the firmware version of your Freedrum Electronic Drumsticks, follow these steps:
- To begin, tap the circular button located at the bottom-right of the screen once you have connected to your kit.
- This will open the "My Devices" menu.
- Tap the orange "i" button to access device information.
- The firmware version you're currently using will be displayed.

How do I connect Freedrum Electronic Drumsticks to Windows 11?
1. Set Bluetooth Device Discovery to Advanced:- Open the Settings app by pressing Win + I.
- Go to Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Under Bluetooth, ensure that the "Show notifications to connect using Swift Pair" option is turned on.
- Then, click on "More Bluetooth options."
- In the Bluetooth Settings window, select the "Options" tab.
- Under Discovery, select the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" option.
- Make sure to click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
- In the Device Manager, locate your Bluetooth adapter under the "Bluetooth" or "Network adapters" section.
- Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and select "Properties."
- Go to the "Power Management" tab.
- Uncheck the option that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
- Click "OK" to apply the changes.
- If the above steps don't establish the connection, you can try using a third-party MIDI bridge like Midiberry.
- Download and install Midiberry from a trusted source.
- Follow the setup instructions provided with Midiberry to configure it for use with your Freedrum Electronic Drumsticks.
- Once configured, try connecting your Freedrum Electronic Drumsticks again.
